NAVOPTION · APP PRIVACY

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-05-08

This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when you use the NavOption iOS application and related services (the "Service"). The principles are simple: we collect the minimum data needed to run the Service, we do not sell your data, and we do not run third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.

1. Data we collect

1.1 Account data

When you sign in with Apple, Apple sends us a stable user identifier and (optionally) the name and email you choose to share. If you opt for Apple's "Hide My Email" relay, we only ever see the relay address. If you use the app anonymously ("Continue as Guest"), we generate a per-device identifier instead and tie no name, email, or contact information to your activity.

1.2 Subscription data

When you purchase NavOption Pro, Apple's StoreKit returns a signed transaction receipt to our servers. We use this receipt to verify your subscription status; we do not see your payment card, billing address, or Apple ID.

1.3 Service activity

To power the Service we record the tickers you analyse, the persona panel you choose, your Wheel-scanner filter selections, and your saved watchlist or presets. This activity is associated with your account identifier (Apple-issued or guest), not with your name or contact details.

1.4 Device & diagnostic data

Our backend logs request metadata (timestamp, IP address, user-agent string, response code, latency) for security, abuse-prevention, and operational debugging. Logs are retained for up to 30 days and then deleted on a rolling basis. We do not request the IDFA or run any third-party SDK that would request it.

2. How we use data

3. How we share data

We share data only with the third parties strictly necessary to run the Service:

We do not sell your personal data, exchange it for advertising signals, or share it with data brokers.

4. Tracking

NavOption does not "track" you for the purposes of Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework. We do not run third-party analytics, advertising, or attribution SDKs. We do not request the IDFA.

5. Your choices

6. Children

The Service is intended for users 18 years of age or older (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under that age.

7. International transfers

Our infrastructure may be located outside your country of residence. Where required, we rely on Apple's data-processing terms and standard contractual clauses to protect transferred data.

8. Changes to this Policy

If we materially change how we collect or use data, we will update this page (with a new "Last updated" date) and surface an in-app notice for users with active accounts. The current version is always available at app.navoption.com/privacy.html.
